A Grade: Round 7 vs Glen Waverley

Falcons win 5 - 0 in a very clinical performance.

On a day that was hot early, cooled down mid afternoon and had gotten quite hot again by game time, Falcons professionally and efficiently defeated Glen Waverley 5 runs to 0.

Ilsa threw 7 very solid innings of shut-out softball to keep the Glen Waverley bats quiet and Falcons hitters rallied mid game to go to a 3 - 0 lead, and then scored a couple late to seal the win.

Div 1: Round 8 vs Glen Heights

Glen Heights 13-1.

Anita pitched an excellent game, with multiple strikeouts. The rest of the team backed her up with some very tidy work in the field, resulting in no errors for the game.

The whole team demonstrated great discipline in the batting box, receiving many walks from a pitcher struggling to find the zone. When strikes were thrown, our girls made the most of their opportunities with some very good batting.

A Grade: Round 18 vs Brandon Park

Falcons prevail 5 - 4 in a thriller under lights!

In a game that started out in very slow fashion, and finished in a blaze, Falcons defeated Brandon Park 5 - 4.

5 innings slipped by without much happening until Falcons scored in the 6th. Brandon Park equalised in the 7th to take the game to a series of tie-breaker innings. Brandon Park would score and Falcons would respond or we would hold Brandon Park scoreless only to see them do the same.....and on to the next innings we would go.

A Grade: Round 6 vs Eastern Raiders

Falcons show versatility in a contrasting game.

In direct contrast to the morning game, Falcons showed patience and confidence to overcome Eastern Raiders 2–0 in a tight game.

With both pitchers dominant it was a tough game to generate any run scoring opportunities; however, Falcons got runners at second a number of times without getting full value.

In the 5th innings, coupling together some luck and some hits, Falcons scored two runs and then Ilsa shut the door with two innings of very solid pitching.
