Junior Div 3: Round 6 vs. Glen Waverley Red

Despite seven batters being hit by erratic pitching the Falcons managed to stay focused and score 14 runs in two at bats to leave Glen Waverley Red wondering what went wrong? Eliza Tivendale slammed a single to centre field and a triple to right field to finish the day with a 667 batting average. Emily Papadimitriou, Kate Hopkins and Madeline Campbell managed to hit safely despite the pitching and seal Glen Waverley's fate. Katrina Johns and Emily Papadimitriou combined their pitching skills to limit Glen Waverley's running scoring to six.

Well done girls! Another fantastic win for the Falcons with flashes of brilliance displayed throughout the game, tight defence and another amazing performance in the batters box, not to mention every player getting safe on base at least once!

Junior Div 3: Round 4 vs Glen Heights

Great match against a very tough team. Once again great pitching by Emily Papadimitriou and Katrina Johns combined with excellent fielding from everyone concerned made fairly short work of Glen Heights bats. The bottom half of the second inning saw the Falcons decimate Glen Heights batters with a dropped third strike and a late throw to first the only thing stopping Falcons from achieving a clean 3 up 3 down sweep!! Wynonna Miller led Falcons bats with not one but two triples on the day!!! Madeline Campbell and Jess Morrison contributed singles to ensure victory!

B Res: Round 4 vs Monash Magic

After a bit of a shaky start, the magnificent spirit of this team once again shone through to finish the game with a good win. Despite a few early errors, as the game wore on and our bats warmed up, our girls took control of the game and didn't look back.

C Grade: Round 4 vs Syndal

Great game. Sound pitching from Cassie Liddy and solid fielding from both the infield and outfield combined, ensured that Syndal's bats would pose very little threat to the Falcons defensive game! Offensively the Falcons wasted very little time making short work of Syndal's pitching staff with all nine players hitting safely at least once in the game. Cassie Liddy's bat was hot going 3 for 3 with two singles and a line drive double to centre field to ensure victory on the day for the Falcons!!

Div 2: Round 3 vs. Syndal

What can I say, what a massive day around the bases! The girls smashed the ball around the park and kept the runs coming in with extremely aggressive baserunning. The agility shown from Maddy was outstanding, having to dodge wild throws to get on base safely! Abby gave an impressive performance going 3 from 3 in the box, while Emira showed us how to hit the ball with a beautiful home run to centerfield which began the seven run haul in the second innings.

T-Ball Match Report: Round 3 vs. Eastern raiders

A great game for T Ballers as for the first time we fielded an entire Falcons team! With some help from the primary B girls and new player Kate Lentini. After an initial bump in our batting we went on to have an absolute blitz in the batting box, with 3 home runs scored by Maisie, Nat and Lisa. We also proved strong in the field with Bridget on 1st and Tate as pitcher, Kate was also great as our catcher.

Junior Div 3: Round 3 vs Eastern Raiders

This was the toughest match to date with the Div III girls winning the match in the final moments of the game. Great pitching by Emily Papadimitriou and Katrina Johns along with exceptional fielding by Wynonna Miller, Jess Morrison and Katie Hopkins made short work of the opposition's offence while hot batting from Eliza Tivendale and Madeline Campbell and aggressive base running all round ensured victory on the day!!!

B Res: Round 3 vs Brandon Park

There's one thing that must be said for this team - when they hit, they hit big!! We had 3 stand-up triples hit for the game; one each to Kate, Jo and Jess. It was again great to see some aggressive base running, including some sneaky running from Liz. We also had a couple great bunts from Ashley and Julie to get their team mates into scoring positions.

Div 1: Round 3 vs Syndal

Again this week, we showed that our potential is building, but we are still unfortunately having trouble getting everything to click together.

There was some good batting, with outfield shots coming from Stacey, Emira, Sam and Emily. The only problem was that these good hits were scattered over 3 innings. Ashleigh also put down a good bunt to move Stacey into scoring position, which was our one run for the match.
