What can I say, what a massive day around the bases! The girls smashed the ball around the park and kept the runs coming in with extremely aggressive baserunning. The agility shown from Maddy was outstanding, having to dodge wild throws to get on base safely! Abby gave an impressive performance going 3 from 3 in the box, while Emira showed us how to hit the ball with a beautiful home run to centerfield which began the seven run haul in the second innings.
Leah started the game at pitcher and surprised herself with an impressive debut on the pitching plate. We saw some fantastic work from Abby behind the plate and Sam wowed us when she came in to pitch in the 3rd inning with 3 strikeouts!
Thanks again for those who helped us out this week, Grace and Katrina did a great job coming up from div 3 for the big game on diamond 1.
After an intense, rain-dodging training session on Wednesday I'm excited to see some 'shuffle-shuffles' and low fielding positions implemented on Saturday. We have a game against Northvale, Diamond 3 and we have Elysia and Christina making their Falcons Div 2 debut for season 2005!
